Just a few examples of our Solutions...

Our engine feed line quick disconnect features an integrated pressure balanced motion compensator, swivel, and quick disconnects in the smallest design available. This product offers extreme maintainability and has passed extensive qualification testing including pressurized swiveling, connect/disconnect durability, and fire testing. Preece specializes in developing solutions for demanding applications. Our high-pressure, formed smooth-bore Teflon hoses are specified on the Trident Missile and the Delta Rocket. Each assembly features machine or cast fittings that are precision welded for superior reliability. Sizes range from 3/8" I.D. to 1 1/2" I.D.

A new generation aircraft needed lightweight, low-cost ducting to convey 500o hot air while restricting surface temperatures to less than 180o. Preece engineers developed a specially extruded thin wall material shrouded in silicone for insulation, to reduce air current friction, and to inhibit heat transmission to the outer surface.

An A-6 radar coolant line was designed to convey helium through a Teflon hose assembly jacked with a Convoluted Metal Hose. The metal hose jacket provides abrasion protection and stabilizes the permeation of helium through the Teflon over long periods of pressurization.

A coolant system was experiencing excessive fluid "weeping" at the hose fittings. We helped redesign the product, developing a unit that solved the problem and also reduced assembly weight. The hose is constructed of convoluted Teflon. Preece 9400 Series quick disconnects are permanently crimped on.

Preece Engineers developed a novel approach for an MD-11 fuel line that reduced weight, cost and affords proven reliability. The concept employs a hose-within-a-hose solution using Teflon and a fireproof sleeve.
